Ski Trip

On Saturday 5th March, 18 students and 3 staff (Miss Flower, Miss Bennett and Mr Abell) met at school at 5am to get the coach to Heathrow for our flight to Milan for 5 days skiing. All but 4 of the students were beginner level skiers and progressed incredibly well and were off the nursery slope halfway through day one, and on the Red runs by day three. (Ms Bennett managed 10 minutes on one ski before giving up and becoming our base camp emergency person!)

During the trip there were no issues – save a couple of bumps and bruises and many, many falls but all the students loved it and graduated at the end of the week in a special ceremony given by the Ski Instructors. We stayed in Claviere on the Italy/France border. The hotel was lovely, food was plentiful and we had a quiz night and a games night during the week. We all went for pizza on the final night in a proper Italian pizza restaurant, which everyone loved.

If this has inspired anyone to give it a go then letters for next year’s ski trip will be going out before Easter (leaving 4th March), so if anyone is interested, please contact Miss Flower. We will be flying from Bristol and skiing for 6 days, rather than 5.
