Meet the Headteacher
I’m delighted to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Whitstone School. It’s an honour to lead such a wonderful school as Whitstone, and to have the opportunity to work in partnership with students, parents and carers, and the wider community in and around Shepton Mallet.
I’ve recently relocated with my wife and young family to Somerset. We believe Somerset is a fantastic place to call home, and have enjoyed becoming part of the community.
I have worked in education for over 20 years, and the last ten of these have been in positions of senior leadership. Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work at some excellent schools, facilitate some superb educational experiences, and work alongside organisations including the BBC, Ofqual, and the Holocaust Educational Trust. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of education to change lives—and in the importance of schools that are ambitious, inclusive, and deeply rooted in their communities.
I hope, in whatever capacity you are viewing this message, that you feel welcome to come to Whitstone School – we will always extend a warm welcome to anyone wishing to see the school in action.
