Every Day Matters
At Whitstone School, being in school every day helps you learn, succeed and feel part of the community.
Your attendance really matters.
Why Attendance is Important
Coming to school regularly helps you:
- Keep up with your learning
- Achieve your best in exams
- Build friendships
- Feel confident and supportedTake part in activities and opportunities
Missing school can make things harder—even a few days can have an impact.
What Does Attendance Look Like?
- 100% attendance = excellent
- 95% attendance = good
- 90% attendance = you are missing a lot of school
- Below 90% = serious concern
90% attendance means missing about 1 day every 2 weeks.
Be On Time
School starts at 8:40am, with the school gates opening at 8:20am
If you are late:
- You miss important learning
- It can disrupt your day
- It can affect your attendance record
- You may miss important notices
Being on time = being ready to succeed
