Admission Process
Whitstone School is an Academy and the Board of Governors is the admissions authority for the School.
Whitstone School serves Shepton Mallet and its surrounding area and caters for students aged 11-16 and is fully comprehensive.
Transfer Applications from Primary School to Whitstone School
All applications for admission to Whitstone Year 7 in September 2020, and any supplementary information forms, must be submitted to your home Local Authority.

Completed application forms should be submitted electronically following the guidance on the Somerset County Council website.
First round applications must be received no later than 31 October.
In-Year Applications
‘In-year applications’ refers to applications to join Whitstone School in any year group during the academic year, or any year group except year 7 in September.
In-year applications should be submitted directly to the school using the In-Year Application Form.
Applications may be submitted directly to the school at any time during the academic year.
The School Governors will consider all applications and applicants will receive a response within 15 school days following receipt of the application.
