Our Vision

Whitstone School is a thriving comprehensive school situated at the heart of a wonderful community. We are a successful, inclusive school where our relatively small scale ensures that all students are supported as individuals and challenged to achieve their hopes and dreams. Whitstone School seeks to inspire our students through engaging teaching, a strong and experienced support staff group and a focus on developing well-rounded young adults.

The Whitstone School values of ‘Ambition’, ‘Respect’ and ‘Excellence’ run throughout school life and are embodied by our students and staff. We challenge every student to be ambitious in their hopes and aspirations, whilst ensuring that all aspects of the education we provide is built on the highest standards. We are a school built on an ethos of respect. Relationships between staff and students are strong and support our young people in making the right choices within school and the wider community. Finally, we believe that every student can achieve excellence in everything they do at Whitstone School, irrespective of learning need, background or previous education. This unwavering belief begins as we support Year 6 students in their transition to Whitstone School and remains in place until students leave us at the end of Year 11.

Our students and their parents tell us that Whitstone School is a safe and happy environment within which to learn and develop. We are an innovative school on an exciting journey and are continually seeking new ways to provide rich learning experiences for our students and developmental opportunities for our staff. Our student population is of a size which ensures a really targeted individual approach and ensures that we retain strong links with our local community. Whitstone School is situated within beautiful grounds which form part of both the learning our students undertake and also their development as young adults.
